A further payment was taken from my account in September and when I queried this was told that Puregym can't let you freeze your membership indefinitely even though I applied a three month freeze as offered but Puregym then only allowed me two months hence why they took the payment in September to allow me to return to the gym in October while my membership was still frozen?! We would like to also apologise for any inconvenience caused. We always aim to provide a broad spread of kit to cater to a range of fitness needs and meet demand as it changes through the day, getting the balance right between weights and cardio. After this incident, I raised the issue with Head Office but when they merely asked if I would sit in a meeting with the man who had been harassing me of course I said no due to being terrified, but for some reason they felt this was an acceptable course of action. Prior to August 2020, the only way to cancel a PureGym membership was by cancelling the direct debit with us, 3 working days before a payment was due. But there conduct is anything but an organisation should be about health! They also cancelled my direct debit and accused me of doing this. I don't understand how this can be a gym that neglects certain muscle groups.What am I paying for exactly if I am unable to use the supposed services/equipment that they would be providing me with access to (within an allotted time frame)?If I only have 30minutes to an hour, I do not have the time to wait in a queue just to use the bicep curl machine.
