Indeed SMEE does an admirable job of making sure that all five girls gets an equal amount of screentime and H-scenes. Fureraba: Laugh out loud funny brought down by short routes and underwhelming romance. Just like Making Lovers, a shorter prologue means all the characters get more time to be actually in a relationship with MC, which means more time to explore the romance aspects. She's still in the conversations, she just doesn't say anything funny, and when they try to have her do something silly, it just comes across as something she wouldn't say since she does it so infrequently.
While it's fairly short to get into routes in Making Lovers, I actually thought that alone was interesting since MC and half the heroines are adult age and they did dating in a more adult way. Every H-scene in the routes themselves contains at least two girls and often more. Especially the 2nd part.
Unfortunate that one character is apparently just the "hit MC for accidental pervert moments" hopefully everything els is good cuz I'm hopign that's the next SMEE Nekonyan goes for. The more "right" options you pick, the faster you get into the girl's route, which is actually somewhat detrimental as it will result in you skipping certain events in the back end of the common route if you do it too fast. The fifth secret heroine has one of the most hysterical routes I can remember. 1. -Hare's existence. It has really good comedy to it (as Smee VN's usually do) so I don't believe you'll get bored.

You would actually be better off with them removed outright. Has a strong cast of side characters but also has the worst individual main heroine in perhaps any SMEE game: Kusunoki Hare. Just doing more adult things like dating and dates and jobs alone is more interesting than most moeges, let alone IxShe which outside the initial premise is just a typical high school harem with the typical progression. Since what I enjoy mostly from SMEE games is the comedy part, I will try Kanojo Step next. Harem Kingdom: The most recent SMEE game and perhaps the best overall package, Harem Kingdom definitely shows that SMEE has still got it. I personally really liked the post-college setting as well.
Glad to hear it! If you're not aware of SMEE, their games are all rom-coms but with more focus and better execution on the com than the rom. When he was young, Kyoutarou wanted to read all the magic books in the world, but they were all in the magic library. The comedy there is perfect and the harem setting helps with the comedy a lot. I have read Fureraba, Making Lovers and Harem Kingdom and I really enjoyed all of them, especially Harem Kingdom. Sadly, while SMEE also up-leveled their romance game, it never goes beyond merely "Okay" territory. It’s slapstick comedy, and the second tries to get more serious with Lucia’s route with the same comedy here and there. The "Security" job is realllyyyy boring, especially compared to the others.
This is kind of a small thing since iirc it only really affects one part of each route.
