Debra Messing stars as Molly Kagan, who after receiving an unexpected phone call from her Movie Mogul husband announcing that he wants a divorce, is instantly transformed from a Wife Of to a Starter Wife. A Hollywood wife left for a younger model and how she deals with that is heartbreaking and freakin' funny! Messing's husband was played brilliantly by Peter Jacobson in the mini-series, perfectly cast as a nebbishy, self-serving jerk.
I'm not finished with the whole season yet, but it is enjoyable to watch Debra Messing in the earlier television show. Funny, cute.
