Doing shopping, sorting lunches & the fridge, doing laundry and being there for Mum, absolutely amazing. he managed to do what no other care company could during this lockdown situation. Despite having several disabilities, my mother is fiercely independent but the approach taken by Luke from the initial assessment and the Carers attending subsequently has put her at her ease and made us feel that there is a seamlessness to the times we care for her and the days others support her. Easily contactable and reliable, I highly recommend Helping Hands at Torquay. Helping Hands responded immediately with expert care when my dad came out of hospital, and are now permanent. Friendly and caring staff thank you, Easy process with the initial consultation to set up best way forward to provide correct care.The manager and carers are punctual and efficient and have a great relationship with my mother which appears to work both ways.They are flexible with mother if she doesn't want a shower for example but get things done done without putting undue pressure on which has the desired effect.The carers take the time to chat with mum and take her for a stroll after the shower and other care needs have been done.I would recommend helping hands to anyone looking for great carers, I just want to say a big thank you to your staff ( Knowsley Branch )for the care my dad received these last couple of weeks and the compassion shown to my mother sadly dad passed away 6th June 2020. My friend loves her and Nikki has made the world of difference to my friend’s recovery. During the last few months Luke has kept in contact to ensure that all is well, & there has been plenty of information regarding the additional measures in place to secure my mother’s safety, which has been useful.There has been a willingness to be flexible too - we were so impressed that we have increased the number of sessions given & all of the individuals attending have been wonderfully friendly and my mother already thinks the world of them all & realises that things would be very different without their input supporting the family delivered care she receives. Nothing is too much trouble and tasks are undertaken patiently.
I could not recommend Nikki highly enough. Its staff members dig deeper than most other overseers, going to state and federal records to get information that charities do not volunteer, honing in on program efficiency and exposing abuses. My wife and I were really struggling to look after her so I got in touch with Helping hands in Newbury.

Our 101 year old great Aunt, who lives alone recently had a fall and broke her hip, Helping Hands In Chippenham have been invaluable, nothing is too much trouble, phone calls night and day when needed, friendly staff and really caring manager, they are making life for our great Aunt really Safe and Enjoyable. She still feels a measure of control (which is important to her) whilst understanding that with input from family as a team, they are aiding in maintaining a modicum of treasured independence As someone who previously worked in the care sector, I recognise the high standards being applied.Well done Abertawe!
