I shouldn’t even bother with SPOILERS... but: I had to give up after the trial and the prison sequence... my poor character will stay there forever, since I just decided I've had enough and stopped after trying to imagine how on the Multiverse was I supposed to cross that door... no more SPOILERS from now on...Now I have to say the whole experience was definitely beautifully crafted, from the area design to the character's interaction with the party and so on... it is amazing to see how much detail was there, how much care and time the author dedicated to the Mod... it is as refined as anything made by the great studios, perhaps even more so...It reminded me of the early D & D campaigns and of course gems like Baldur's Gate I and II, perhaps a bit of Planescape Torment too... very complex and mostly everything works perfectly... really, I can't recommend it highly enough, everyone should give it a try.I loved the way the story was told through the cut scenes between the chapters and the long nature of the game allowed for a lot of talk with the companions which helped to make their personalities shine and I liked them... even the paladin is not a plain, featureless character... but be prepared to search a lot in order to find the items needed to open them all up... a pity that I will never know how the relationships will develop towards the end of the game, but I can't see myself returning to it anymore...It is not about the writing, which was great also... but the mechanics of the mod, with the puzzles mixed with tough fights and then the quests with no clear objective that just stay there as something you drag around forever (and it will take a lot of time) until they can finally be finished... the situations that you can start but will have to stop and return later, after several levels... no single thing is actually wrong and I am certain that maybe if I was playing this some 10 years ago maybe... with a different mindset... but now the amount of details and little things kept growing and getting heavy to me... and after that - no way to know what you should do now - moment... well, it was the final straw.But again, it is just too impressive a piece of work not to be admired and if you want to play a game that will probably last until the next Baldur's Gate is released... then please, give this one a try!
